Ft. Supply High School
College… Doesn’t mean the same thing it used to. In the 315-person town of Ft. Supply, Superintendent Melva Little had an ambitious goal - 100% employable graduates. Small-town America has it’s challenges, and Melva was determined to face a big one head-on. High Plains Technology Center is part of a network of 29 career technology centers across the state of Oklahoma. Since 1982 High Plains has been training individuals for success in the workplace. Ft. Supply Schools is one of HPTC’s sending schools, and they have reached an amazing goal of having 100% upper class enrollment at HPTC.
We were tasked with telling the story of what it meant to attain this achievement, and made the decision to let the students and staff speak for themselves. Using a mini documentary-style approach, we captured interviews with administration, teachers, and students.
